Ghanaian centre-back, Lee Addy is believed to be also keen on joining a club in the PSL for next season. The 27-year-old has been linked with no less than three PSL clubs, ahead of the 2018/19 season.

As reported in the latest Soccer Laduma, edition 1076, discussions between Ghanaian football agents and their South African counterparts are in the works, finalising all the paperwork, ahead of the player’s planned visit to Mzansi.

“Lee Addy is the Ghanaian defender who played for his senior national team in the World Cup. He is a left-footed centre-back. He has been playing for Lusaka Dynamos in Zambia. He is currently a free agent and is back home in Ghana. There is a possibility that he will be coming to South Africa to link up with one of the clubs in the PSL,” said a source.

Addy played for Ghana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which was held in Mzansi, a feat that earned him a big move to Red Star Belgrade in Serbia from Ghana’s Bechem Chelsea in August of 2010.

In 2016, the player was reportedly on trial at Kaizer Chiefs at the recommendation of his countryman and former assistant coach at the Soweto giants, John Paintsil.

The player is expected to arrive in Mzansi in the coming weeks and the latest news reaching the Siya crew is that SuperSport United, Free State Stars and Cape Town City have all shown an interest in his services.
