The Siya crew has been informed that there is a potential strike looming at Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila over outstanding monies.
While their on-field problems seem to have dissipated, it appears that TTM’s off-the-field drama has not.
Indications are that a number of the club’s players are believed to be awaiting their signing on fees, despite the 2020/21 season nearing its completion!
According to Siya sources, players are fed up with the club’s excuses and delay tactics, and it is understood that the players have threatened strike action ahead of the club’s next match, which is on 2 June, when they take on Chippa United in a repeat fixture of the Nedbank Cup final.
A number of players are also believed to be contemplating the termination of their contracts, which they are allowed to do under FIFA law.
In addition, insiders have informed the crew that players are still awaiting their Nedbank Cup bonuses, leaving a sour mood in the club’s camp, which could threaten to derail the club’s efforts to climb up the DStv Premiership log/
The Siya crew made several attempts for comment by TTM, but the club had not responded at the time of publishing.
