Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila are in a race against time to get their new coach registered after officially appointing him on a permanent basis.
TTM have confirmed with the Siya crew Dylan Kerr has been appointed as the club’s head coach.
“I can confirm that Dylan Kerr is our head coach, the contract is signed, and we are trying to get him registered ASAP,” Rufus Matsena, the club’s media liaison told the Siya crew.
This comes after the Englishman finally signed a contract with the Polokwane-based outfit, despite reports that he had left the club.
The crew had been informed that Kerr, who had been working in an advisory role since February, had initially left the club due to dissatisfaction with a few conditions in the contract that was offered to him.
But the crew was then informed that Kerr had made a U-turn on his decision and opted to stay on with the team, only for the crew to learn that he had bizarrely left the club, again.
Now, with his contract finally signed, it has been confirmed that TTM are in a race to get Kerr registered with the PSL and secure a work permit in time for their match against TS Galaxy next week!
“Registering the coach will not be a problem, we have already got his police clearance and passport, but he will not be on the bench for the (Mamelodi) Sundowns match on Tuesday because home affairs is closed. But we are hoping to have him registered by the time we face TS Galaxy,” Matsena added.
TTM next face Sundowns at home on Tuesday 6 April, and thereafter, travel away to TS Galaxy on Saturday 10 April.
