Vodia Players Management’s Gerald Baloyi – the representatives of former Orlando Pirates target Xolani Ngcobo – have confirmed that the goalkeeper will finish the season with a new club after signing a deal this week.
Ngcobo, who is a former Baroka FC and Richards Bay FC shot-stopper, has been signed by promotion hopefuls Free State Stars.

In 2017, following an impressive season with Thanda Royal Zulu, Ngcobo appeared to be close to joining Pirates, after being identified as a target from that promotion-winning side.
However, in the end it was only Innocent Maela who made the switch from the KwaZulu-Natal outfit to the Buccaneers, following his succesful loan stint with the club.
“The club has given the player a six months deal plus an option to further extend. We are grateful to the club for giving the player a chance,” Ngcobo's representative concluded.
