City Still Finalising Striker’s Paperwork
It may be a while before Polokwane City supporters get a glimpse of their new Malawian striker Muhammed Sulumba.
Soccer Laduma reported that City had signed the 23-year-old hitman in order to reinforce their striking department. However, Siya sources have confirmed that the striker’s paperwork, which includes his work permit, are yet to be finalised.
“The club is completing the paperwork for Sulumba but I understand that all is going in order on that front. He continues to train with the team and he is in high hopes,” revealed the source.
“He remains positive and eager to show his worth and we can’t wait to see him in action when he gets his opportunity,” added the source.
Sulumba has previous experience in playing South African football having played for Jomo Cosmos. City will hope the burly striker can hit the ground running and add to City's goalscoring tally.
It remains unclear when the club will complete the player’s paperwork.
Meanwhile, Rise and Shine's main striker Rodney Ramagalela has led the frontline impressively this season having scored nine goals in 19 league appearances for the Limpopo-based club.
