Pirates Debut For New Striker?
Pirates Have Hinted On Immediate Availability Of New Striker
Orlando Pirates hinted at the possibility of a debut for their new striker during their next match at the weekend.
The Buccaneers officially confirmed the signing of Zambian striker, Justin Shonga, earlier this week, Wednesday.
The Zambian international has already started training with his new teammates at Bucs, as confirmed by the club on Thursday.
Pirates will be at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday for their Absa Premier match against Polokwane City. During the announcement of the club’s vehicle sponsorship from Ford on Tuesday, Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza hinted that the team’s new striker could be available to play this weekend.
“If he adjusts well, he will be playing on the weekend, I think,” said Khoza.
Shonga has been signed to increase the team's chance of scoring more goals this season. So far in the 2017/18 PSL campaign, Bucs have scored four goals in six matches.
