Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are both interested in a talented player from Bloemfontein Celtic.
As reported in the latest Soccer Laduma, Pirates have joined the race for the sought-after signature of Celtic’s Kabelo Mahlasela.
With the January transfer window looming, the Celtic midfielder is expected to be one of the players to change clubs or sign a pre-contract elsewhere.
Mahlasela has attracted interest from clubs in the PSL and Chiefs are known to have been tracking the player for some time.
Mahlasela is nearing the end of his contract with Celtic and has been linked with a potential exit from Siwelele since last season.
The club has had no luck in trying to keep the player by offering him a new and improved deal as he has been reluctant to sign it.
According to sources, Pirates are aware of the player’s situation and are believed to be considering making a move for him.
