Belgian Giants To Make Move For Tau?

Percy Tau Has Attracted the Attention Of Club Brugge

By Soccer Laduma - Jun 16, 2018 04:16 PM
Belgian giants, Club Brugge, are the latest team to show an interest in Mamelodi Sundowns star, Percy Tau, with the club believed to have made enquiries.

English Premier League side, Brighton & Hove Albion, are known to be tracking the 24-year-old attacker at present, although strict work permit rules could make a move there a difficult one to pull off.

Other clubs across Europe have also been mentioned in relation to the reigning Absa Premiership Footballer of the Season, and Pitso Mosimane has already admitted that he is preparing for the fact that he may lose the talented forward before the 2018/19 season gets underway.

Now, according to Siya sources, Brugge have made enquiries about the forward, and could be considering a potential bid for the Bafana Bafana international.

It is thought that it will take a figure in the region of €3.5m (around R55m) to persuade Sundowns to sell their star player, although the fact that he has just one season left on his contract could tempt them into selling now rather than losing him for free.

@setlaboswana It's not about what should happen, it is the fact that he will be tested a thousand times more on the world stage... so time will tell. Mental strength is also how you handle the lows...........look what has just happened to Messi and Neymar......They will be back because of their mental strength, not their natural talent. Again, I believe Perc CAN make it and he should make the move, he's already 24 and what else can he achieve in our beloved country / continent?

I think his agent is most slowest person ever. The boy needs to know where is going if he is going. Unless if dunus are planning to do what they did to Billiat. But on a serious note I think he must go to Belgium or France as there he will have a company of the likes of his former teammates. I do not think it is good idea for him to go to Spain. Even Salah is not ready for that league yet.

@setlaboswana I was measuring him by world standards, not local standards, but I stand by what I said: He can make it on the highest level if he is mentally strong enough.

I don't see Club Brugge paying R55m, so that means Tau will still be at Dunu FC next season.
