Two Coaches Set To Take Over Chiefs' Pre-Season Training
Patrick Mabedi And Arthur Zwane Are Set To Get Kaizer Chiefs' Pre-Season Underway
Kaizer Chiefs will report for pre-season training sometime next week and while the club is yet to appoint a new head coach at the helm, the Siya crew has been told who will conduct the team's preparations in the meantime.
As reported earlier today by the Siya crew, Chiefs have placed Stuart Baxter at the top of their list, with sources revealing that the club has made contact with the Bafana Bafana head coach’s camp.
While the Soweto giants are yet to make an official announcement about a new head coach, the Siya crew has been told that Chiefs’ assistant coach, Patrick Mabedi will be overseeing pre-season training, with it since being revealed to the crew that MultiChoice Diski Challenge side’s head coach, Arthur Zwane is set to lead alongside him in the interim.
Chiefs have already begun making certain changes to their squad in the new season, although have only released players so far.
The club officially parted ways with the likes of Tsepo Masilela and Keagan Buchanan last week, all this before a new head coach is appointed at the helm.
Indications are that the Soweto giants will only look to bring in new players once a new head coach takes over the reins at the club.
As things stand, Chiefs are determined to try and lure Baxter back to the club, although sources have revealed that it is currently a sensitive situation at hand, although there is a possibility that they could secure the Englishman’s services.
Now, it remains to be seen who the new coach will be and which new signings he will bring in, although, Zwane and Mabedi will get the current team ready for the new season in the meantime.
