Owen da Gama could be set to be unveiled at another top-flight club as head coach, following the sale of Highlands Park to TS Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi.
Following the sale of the club, TS Galaxy appointed Dan Malesela as the head coach, who will be assisted by Esau Mtsweni, while Tyron Damons has joined as the goalkeeper coach, which has left Da Gama with no role at the Mpumalanga outfit.
The Siya crew has been reliably informed that talks are at an advanced stage for Da Gama to take over as the coach of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivandhila.
Since TTM purchased the top-flight status of Bidvest Wits in June, Da Gama has been one of the coaches linked with the Limpopo outfit, and according to sources, the former South African U23 coach is close to being unveiled by the club.
Meanwhile, it is believed that the mentor will still be in talks with his former employers from the Lions of the North about his settlement as he still had one more year on his contract with the club at the time of the club sale.
Attempts to get a comment from the coach’s agent Machini Motloung drew blank, as he was not immediately available to reply on the Siya crew’s enquiries.
