Unrelated Agent Comments On Chiefs' Bvuma Situation
Outside Agent Comments On Kaizer Chiefs' Bruce Bvuma Situation
Lance Davids, a representative at On Target Consultants has, shared his professional opinion on the situation regarding Kaizer Chiefs’ Bruce Bvuma and his salary earnings at Naturena.
It has been reported in local media that the 22-year-old shot-stopper is earning just R5000 per month with Amakhosi, which has described as a ‘slave wage'.
Chiefs have since responded in local media, stating in part, “Kaizer Chiefs operates within a graded structure that provides the framework for contracts with players at development, reserve team and first team level.
"In so far as the details of players’ contracts are concerned, the terms and conditions of such agreements are confidential between the club, the player and their representative/ parents.
"As such, the salaries are subject to negotiations between the club, the players and their representatives/parents and all contracts are finalised through the mutual agreement of all parties concerned."
Soccer Laduma has since gotten in touch with the representative of the likes of Abbubaker Mobara and Steven Pienaar to find out his professional opinion on the matter.
“In my personal opinion, if the player, along with his representative (agent) has seen the contract before signing it, then I don’t see any wrongdoing on Kaizer Chiefs,” Davids told the Siya crew.
“But, I would just like to add that I am against the idea of player’s earning what they call ‘slave wage’, I believe that players should receive a fair salary for their contributions,” he added.
Now, it remains to be seen what will come out of the situation after the South African Football Players’ Union have also voiced their opinion on the matter.
