Oupa Manyisa Spotted At Chloorkop!

By Soccer Laduma - Aug 04, 2017 12:36 PM

Oupa Manyisa has been spotted at Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of his move to the CAF Champions League winners which is yet to be officially confirmed as a done deal.

Orlando Pirates chairman, Irvin Khoza confirmed to the media yesterday, August 03, that the team’s captain, Manyisa will be joining Masandawana, however, also revealed that there are still details set to be finalised.

"It is not an easy decision but in the best interest of the player. There are still a few details to finalize. Oupa Manyisa will be joining Sundowns. He has an unbelievable record with Pirates,” Dr Khoza revealed yesterday.

However, Siya sources have since confirmed that Manyisa has been spotted at the Chloorkop-based club today, with indications that the player could be set to undergo a medical ahead of an official confirmation of his transfer to the Brazilians.

Should all go well, Manyisa will become Masandawana’s second signing of the July/August transfer window so far, bolstering Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s midfield department.

As reported earlier today on Soccer Laduma, it remains to be seen whether Manyisa’s transfer to Sundowns will be involving any Sundowns players going the opposite direction in a potential swap deal.

Honestly speaking, Manyisa uzosinyisa. With us he could not give us the best of him because he played with the guitarman, who can't make four passes without giving the ball to the opposition; with kekana and and mabunda, he will cause problems to the opposition. I am an Orlando Pirates football club supporter and will miss him a lot because I was looking forward to his and Sangweni's combination. However, now that he is gone, I can't wait to see Nyatama and Sangweni in our colours. #bucs_ngenkani

iScefe Aug 04, 2017 01:28 PM Mamelodi Sundowns’ staff and players have been barred by senior management from making comments about Oupa Manyisa. Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza announced on Thursday that Bucs’ stalwart midfieler and captain Manyisa was being transferred to Sundowns in a swap deal‚ the details of which he could not disclose as they were still being resolved. Attempts by iScefe to learn more from sources at Mini-Camp have been blocked. Downs’ players‚ who are currently on a preseason mini-camp at the Royal Marang Hotel in Rustenburg‚ were ordered by members of the board to refrain from making public comments about the former Orlando Pirates midfielder on Friday morning at breakfast. Back at Sundowns’ offices at Chloorkop‚ general manager Yogesh Singh warned the employees that whoever makes public comments about the transfer saga would be in contravention of the staff handbook. Khoza made the shock announced that Manyisa had signed for Sundowns in a swap deal that will see one or two players moving in the opposite direction. But‚ in a quick response to Khoza’s bombshell announcement at Orlando Stadium where he presented Pirates’ new coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic‚ Downs said they would make an announcement at a later stage. The Brazilians posted their official Twitter page that: “Mamelodi Sundowns will make an announcement in due course concerning Oupa Manyisa.” Manyisa missed Pirates’ training match against SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Thursday afternoon‚ but he was yet to arrive at the Sundowns training base in Rustenburg on Friday morning‚ iScefe is informed.
