Orlando Pirates winger, Thembinkosi Lorch, might have to wait a little longer before his operation is conducted to mend the injury on his shoulder.
Lorch, 23, injured his shoulder in the 0-0 draw for Bucs against Highlands Park on April 15. The Buccaneers have already confirmed that the player is set to miss the remainder of the 2016/17 season while recovering from injury.
According to Pirates’ injury update, which was issued on the club’s official website on April 26, the former Maluti FET College player was due to go under the knife at the end of last month/early this month.
But a source close to the Pirates camp has confirmed to the Siya crew that the player has yet to undergo the operation due to paperwork-related issues.
“The player is doing fine but is yet to undergo the operation. The latest on him is that he is set to undergo the operation next week. The delay has been caused by paperwork and all the procedures that have to be followed before such things can take place,” a source told the Siya crew.
Lorch had been in fine form for Bucs since his return from a loan stint with Chippa United halfway through the current season.
