Bucs' Memela To Sit Out Free State Clash?
Orlando Pirates winger Luvuyo Memela likely to miss out on last league clash
Orlando Pirates winger Luvuyo Memela will likely miss out Bucs' last PSL clash of the season against Free State Stars on Saturday.
The crowd favourite sustained a knee strain against his side’s clash against Cape Town City which Pirates eventually lost. Following the injury for the 30-year-old, it was doubtful that the Cape Town-born player would be available to finish off the season.
“So far the verdict from the medical team which has continued to closely monitor Memela is that he will not be playing in the final league game of the season,” revealed a source close to the club.
“The club (doesn’t) want to take any risks and aggravate his injury,” added the source.
The crew reported that the Sea Robbers had taken Memela to a specialist to determine the extent of the injury, however, the club is yet to release the results.
The Buccaneers welcome El Lla Koto to the Orlando Stadium on Saturday 12 May, with the match scheduled to start at 15h00.
