Pirates Using International Break To Regain Form

Orlando Pirates Using International Break To Regain Lost Form

By Soccer Laduma - Nov 07, 2017 01:10 PM
Orlando Pirates will use the FIFA international break to focus on tactical aspects of their game in an effort to regain their form, this according to Siya sources close to the club.

The Buccaneers have had an inconsistent campaign under the mentorship of Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, and come into the international break on the back of two consecutive defeats. Bucs lost 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership outing then were sent crashing out of the Telkom Knockout Cup by Polokwane City.

"The team hasn't been doing well especially with Polokwane City knocking us out of the TKO," said the source at Bucs.

"The technical team has planned a series of drills and training programs for the next two weeks to help the players get back on track. What is a blessing in disguise is that Coach will have all the players available with the exception of Wayne Sandilands who is with Bafana Bafana," added the source.

Pirates currently lie in seventh place on the PSL table, having amassed 14 points from a possible 30 points. The Parktown-based club will play Golden Arrows in their next league fixture on Tuesday, November 21.

"...in an effort to regain their form"???? Which form is that because for 2 season Pirates is no where. Hence i believe Some Coaches are very lucky indeed. Micho and Rhulani's last 6 matches record read (LDDDLL) but there is no noise of Micho must go like they did with Jonevret.

"Form" were we ever on form? I must've missed that, all I saw was a team playing and winning by single goal margins and getting very lucky not to concede an avalanche of goals due to the poor standard of our opposition. It was always a known fact that we'd loose against proper opposition, it was a case of which one do we get to face first.

I hate it to say,i said so, before this very season commence, i analised about it and being vocal about lack of quality at certain departments of that team atleast i commend our technical team for turning cows like Nyauza to be regular starter week in and weekout

The only thing that is missing at Pirates is a strike and goalkeeper. Brockie and Khuzwayo
