Orlando Pirates Using International Break To Regain Lost Form
Orlando Pirates will use the FIFA international break to focus on tactical aspects of their game in an effort to regain their form, this according to Siya sources close to the club.
The Buccaneers have had an inconsistent campaign under the mentorship of Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, and come into the international break on the back of two consecutive defeats. Bucs lost 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in an Absa Premiership outing then were sent crashing out of the Telkom Knockout Cup by Polokwane City.
"The team hasn't been doing well especially with Polokwane City knocking us out of the TKO," said the source at Bucs.
"The technical team has planned a series of drills and training programs for the next two weeks to help the players get back on track. What is a blessing in disguise is that Coach will have all the players available with the exception of Wayne Sandilands who is with Bafana Bafana," added the source.
Pirates currently lie in seventh place on the PSL table, having amassed 14 points from a possible 30 points. The Parktown-based club will play Golden Arrows in their next league fixture on Tuesday, November 21.
