Orlando Pirates are looking to approach Bidvest Wits with a potential swap deal to try and lure one of their transfer targets to the club.
As previously revealed by the Siya crew, Pirates are aiming to reignite their interest in Wits’ Thulani ‘Tyson’ Hlatshwayo, after it was reported earlier this year that the Bucs have identified the Bafana Bafana captain as one of their missing pieces of the puzzle in their defence.
It has since been revealed to the Siya crew that the Bucs are still eager to tighten up their backline and are looking to pull all the stops in order to try and bring Hlatshwayo on board at the club.
Sources have revealed that Pirates are looking to propose a swap deal to Wits, which involves Ayanda Gcaba joining up with the Clever Boys.
However, Tyson is one of Head Coach Gavin Hunt’s key players in the squad and the Bucs will need to bring a lot more than just Gcaba’s services in order to get management at the Students to even consider selling the player.
Sources have added that Pirates could look to propose a player-plus-cash swap deal to try and tempt Wits to possibly open discussions for Hlatshwayo.
