Word reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates may consider keeping defensive midfielder Issa Sarr until the end of the season before deciding on his future at the club.
The crew reported that there could be a possible swap deal on the cards involving the 31-year-old Senegalese midfielder and Kudakwashe Mahachi which could see either player heading in the opposite direction.
However, new indications are the Buccaneers would prefer hanging onto the midfielder until the end of the season before deciding on whether or not to release him.
“The coach is happy with the progress of the midfield players and the team’s new-found form. At the moment things are going for the players and the most important thing is to maintain this stability,” revealed the Siya source.
The crew has also revealed that other PSL clubs have shown their interest in the lanky midfielder and are monitoring the situation closely. The likes of Chippa United and Polokwane City are also said to be big admirers of the Bucs man.
Meanwhile, Sarr has lost his first team midfield position to the likes of Musa Nyatama and Thamsanqa Sangweni. The current campaign has been his worst since joining the Soweto giants. Sarr has only managed five leagues appearances with only two league starts.
