Bucs To Keep Sarr Until End Of Season?

Orlando Pirates to consider keeping Issa Sarr until the end of the season?

By Mkhize - Jan 23, 2018 06:01 PM

Word reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates may consider keeping defensive midfielder Issa Sarr until the end of the season before deciding on his future at the club.

The crew reported that there could be a possible swap deal on the cards involving the 31-year-old Senegalese midfielder and Kudakwashe Mahachi which could see either player heading in the opposite direction.

However, new indications are the Buccaneers would prefer hanging onto the midfielder until the end of the season before deciding on whether or not to release him.

“The coach is happy with the progress of the midfield players and the team’s new-found form. At the moment things are going for the players and the most important thing is to maintain this stability,” revealed the Siya source.

The crew has also revealed that other PSL clubs have shown their interest in the lanky midfielder and are monitoring the situation closely. The likes of Chippa United and Polokwane City are also said to be big admirers of the Bucs man.

Meanwhile, Sarr has lost his first team midfield position to the likes of Musa Nyatama and Thamsanqa Sangweni. The current campaign has been his worst since joining the Soweto giants. Sarr has only managed five leagues appearances with only two league starts.

According to The Citizen source, the Soweto giants have been working tirelessly to beef up the squad with the Transfer Window set to close on the 31st of January 2018. Al Ahly forward Phakamani Mahlambi, who joined the Egyptian giants last August, and KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali could reportedly join Pirates this week. “There will be a big and surprise announcement this week," a source said on the publication. "I don’t know who the players are but they could be Andile Jali and Phakamani Mahlambi. Jali will be returning home while Mahlambi has always said he wants to play for Pirates,” the source concluded. The deepthroat also claimed that Pirates could get Jali and Mahlambi, who are both South Africa internationals, on loan. Jali's agent, Mike Makaab recently confirmed that this client is set to leave Oostende at the end of the season with the former Pirates anchorman's current contract due to expire on 30th of June 2018.

This goat must just be released even for free. Our coaches will amaze you, they have been playing Matlaba and Mobara out of position when we have Sangweni who is a very good CM. His been injured a lot but is a better midfielder than mobara and matlaba.

What's more important for Pirates's to refresh their squad with few more quality otherwise we'll be adding numbers just like small teams, who have only top8 ambition and that's unccepted for a big team like Pirates

Hopeful we'll sign a hardcore defensive midfield as de likes of Sangweni seem to be on holiday citing his incosistant performance,im not happy with him at all, hope he'll improve but he dont have much time as when de ship start cruising he'll be leftout in de cold then he'll have himself to blame for failure to grab opportunity when avail

We don't know why the management of pirates don't know how to sign players. Do you think Thethe can change anything at Pirates. Lucky Lekgwathi is still better than Thethe and Mahamutsa is better than Thethe. This is not an old age home
