An Orlando Pirates transfer target has been spotted at the club, with an indication from sources hat the player might have concluded a deal to join the Soweto giants for the new season.
Abel Mabaso is expected to join coach Milutin Sredojevic and his team in their preparation for the 2018/19 season on their return from the off-season break, after a deal has been agreed to between Pirates and Chippa United, according to sources.
As earlier reported by the Siya crew, the utility player had been identified as a transfer target for Bucs, following his impressive performances for Chippa this past season.
As indicated to the Siya crew by sources close to both the Buccaneers and Chilli Boys, the player is believed to have been signed on a three-year deal by his new club, after he was spotted in their offices on Monday.
“It’s a done deal. A three-year deal has been finalised for the player. He was at the club to finalise the deal. The boy will be playing for Pirates. It was a club to club deal between Chippa and Pirates,” said the source.
It has already been confirmed in the media from Bucs’ highest office of chairman Irvin Khoza that Paseka Mako and Kudakwashe Mahachi have been signed by the club.
The Buccaneers have also been linked with Chippa’s Linda Mntambo in recent weeks, among other players linked with the club.
