Pirates Submit Bid For Downs Target
Orlando Pirates submit an offer for SuperSport United’s Jeremy Brockie.
Word reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates have submitted an offer for SuperSport United striker, Jeremy Brockie, as they look to spend in the January transfer window.
The Buccaneers ended the year in seventh place having won just five of their seventeen games in all competitions this season, and the club have been admirers of Brockie for some time now.
It was previously reported by the Siya crew that Pirates were looking to land the New Zealander, ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, however SuperSport refused to sell the player at the time as they looked to land the MTN8 title and CAF Confederation Cup.
Now though, as explained by the crew in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, Matsatsantsa could be willing to sell him and cash in on the striker while interest in him remains strong.
While the amount that has been offered remains unknown, Siya sources have revealed that Pirates have submitted an offer to SuperSport in an attempt to land the Kiwi’s signature, although at this point there has been no confirmation as to whether it meets their valuation of him or not.
Mamelodi Sundowns are also long-term potential suitors of Brockie’s, while there has been talk of interest from overseas.
