Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho’s name is again being mentioned among those of potential transfer targets for Orlando Pirates.
The player has been linked with Pirates for some time, since his former coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic made the move to the Soweto giants.
‘Micho’ coached the player in the Uganda senior national team. It is believed that the coach is keen to lure him to Bucs, with a view to using his services to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season.

While the 24-year-old has also been linked with a move to Egyptian giants Zamalek, it is believed that Bucs could try and bring him to the club in the January transfer window.
Bucs currently have Benard Morrison (Ghana), Issa Sarr (Senegal), Justin Shonga (Zambia) and Emmanuel Daniel (Nigeria) in their foreign quota for the 2017/18 season.
Aucho could be the player to fill the last foreign spot in Bucs’ squad for this campaign. The central midfielder is a free agent, after parting ways with Serbian club Red Star Belgrade.
