Bucs Not Yet Done Releasing?
Orlando Pirates Likely To Release More Players
Orlando Pirates could be set to announce one or few other players to leave the club before the transfer window closes shut on Thursday.
On Tuesday, it was announced from The Buccaneers that the club parted ways with Patrick Phungwayo, following an agreement for the mutual termination of his contract with the Soweto giants.
Indication from sources close to the club is that Bernard Morrison could also be affected by the squad changes taking place at Bucs. However, there has been no official confirmation from the club on whether the Ghanaian will be on his way out this week or at a later stage.
Morrison has been facing an uncertain future with Pirates since the end of last season. The midfielder-cum-striker hasn’t featured in any of the games played by the side so far this season.
Last season he struggled for game time under the different coaches that had been at the helm at the club. The 24-year-old has been linked with a return to AS Vita Club in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
However, the player previously told Soccer Laduma that his aim was to finish his Pirates contract with the club.
In further news at Pirates, defender Tercious Malepe is expected to conclude a season-long loan to Ajax Cape Town as reported by the Siya crew, while midfielder Marshall Munetsi is also being linked with the Mother City outfit.
