Bucs Midfielder’s Future In Doubt

Orlando Pirates Likely To Part Ways With Midfielder

As reported in issue number 1027 of Soccer Laduma, Donald Mokondelela is facing an uncertain future with Orlando Pirates.

In his first season with Pirates, the midfielder was unsuccessful and was loaned out halfway through the 2016/17 campaign after he struggled for game time in the star-studded team.

Mokondela was signed by Pirates from Baroka FC, after the Limpopo team’s promotion-winning campaign of the 2015/16 season.

Following his lack of game time during the first half of the season, the 25-year-old was loaned to Chippa United in January. According to a source close to the Soweto giants, the Buccaneers are likely to not include the player in their planning for next season’s squad.

“Donald Mokondelela could be affected by the changes to take place at Orlando Pirates at the end of the season. He’s likely to be loaned again next season or be released – one of the two,” said the source.

Bucs’ squad changes are expected to take place after the team’s Nedbank Cup final against SuperSport United on June 24.

Im surprised that a player who played for 45 minutes the whole season will be sold while we have bunch of losers who put the club into junk status staying. This is unfair. Captain Father Manyisa or should I say "Mkhulu" will be staying at the club along with his cowsoldiers Gcaba, Sarr & Gabuza

Pirates management has favourism and lack professionalism if you sign a player you sign him becose you saw potential in him but if you sign a player and not offer him game time it means you lack football knowledge, i urge pirates management to be mindfull when making signings.

They wasted his services, he'd rather go back to Baroka because they know him better including kutumela because i feel these two boys are talented and need to play regularly but pirates is killing them.

I Saw this happening as soon as I hear this boi,Kutumela and Sello Jaftha signings.Bucs management has made a number of wrong signings in the Past few season's.there was no need of signing average players in the first place, more especially wingers last season everyone expected Mahachi,Rusike and Mlambo.but non of that happened,I hope they will listen to fans in this Transfer.
