Bucs Striker Staying On For Now
Orlando Pirates Keeping Striker In The Squad
Orlando Pirates striker, Thabiso Kutumela, is staying on with the team for now as the club has not officially communicated anything about him leaving.
As reported in the latest Soccer Laduma that came out on Wednesday, issue number 1032, Bucs are keeping the former NFD top goalscorer in their setup for now, despite him having struggled for game time at the club.
Kutumela has struggled for game time at Bucs since his arrival at the club from Baroka FC prior to the start of the 2016/17 season. The 24-year-old made only three starts for Bucs in their disappointing Absa Premiership campaign of last season.
While Pirates have recently strengthened the team’s striking department with the signing of Nigerian striker Christian Obiozor, and still having the likes of Tendai Ndoro and Thamsanqa Gabuza within the squad, the indication is that there is no intention of loaning Kutumela as yet, as the squad for the 2017/18 season is being finalised.
“Thabiso Kutumela is staying with Pirates,” said a source within Bucs’ setup.
Kutumela was delayed by a knee injury he picked up towards the end of last season on his progress at Bucs.
