Orlando Pirates are looking to further bolster their defensive department this transfer window, with the Soweto giants having already added two defenders to Coach Milutin Sredojevic’s squad.
According to Siya sources, Bucs have escalated their interest in Bidvest Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo and a move during the current January transfer window could materialise.
The Siya crew revealed ahead of the 2017/18 season that Pirates were keen on bringing the central defender on board and while a move did not take place at the time, Bucs maintained their interest.
According to Siya sources, Bucs are keen on adding the player during this transfer window and if they are successful in their attempts, the 28-year-old will see out the current season as a Buccaneer.
Sredojevic has already added both Diamond Thopola and Phetso Maphanga to his roster, with Bucs having confirmed the switch last month.
Should Bucs conclude a move with Hlatshwayo this month, Sredojevic could have a new look defence going forward.
