The Crew has reported that Pirates have sent out the likes of defender Ayanda Gcaba and Riyaad Norodien to Platinum Stars for the remainder of the season. Furthermore, Soccer Laduma also reported on the Soweto giants having signed Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga from Zanaco FC.
However, of all the signings Pirates have concluded to date, the club has not made what can be classified as a marquee signing. Among the possible big-money deals that have been mentioned in circles close to Pirates have included the likes of Bidvest Wits' Thulani Hlatshwayo and a possible return of former midfielder Andile Jali. Another name touted as a possible target for the Bucs is Bidvest Wits' Ben Motshwari.
