According to the City Press newspaper, Pirates chairman, Irvin Khoza confirmed that the Buccaneers would soon unveil Paseka Mako as one of the additions to the team.

The 24-year-old left-back has been linked with Bucs since the end of the season. The former Mamelodi Sundowns development player impressed with his performances for Chippa United this past season.

As a result of joining Pirates, Mako will be expected to compete for the left-back position with Innocent Maela, who has since made the position his own during his first season at the club. The 25-year-old Bafana Bafana international has made 24 league starts for Pirates this past season.

It remains to be seen when Pirates will unveil their latest signing and how the rest of the team will be affected by the new recruit.

Some players and their agents are very stupid, where is he going to play. We have Maela and Matlaba, u can't bench Maela for any other palyer unless he is injured.

We don't a need players such as Makola or matlaba cz dey r gud players to themselves not to the club so I'd be more than happy to see them leave.

I dont care if Makola leaves but Matlaba never dissapoint on my side of view, he always gives his all whenever given an opportunity, as for Makola, ego is the issue and we dont need players with such attitude

Dr Irvin Khoza "the ball is in Jali's court. He was here and we discussed his potential move and he promised to come back. Now the ball is in his court" concluded the Orlando Pirates chairman

Matlaba is not a natural left back,he was stuck in that position for several seasons because he's a utility player capable of playing anywhere in the field so there's no reason to release him,we still need his experience going to the CCL.

@wash & wear : kikikiki aiii wena maan Chippa United is not Pirates B team but let's put it this way Khoza and Mpengesi they have a good understanding in pushing their bussinessess...like you say both teams are exchanging players not like it's only Chippa who provides Pirates with players.
