Bucs Goalkeeper Completes Chippa Switch
Orlando Pirates Goalkeeper Joins Chippa United
Brighton Mhlongo has completed his switch from Orlando Pirates to Chippa United.
The deal has been concluded between all the parties involved, this after Mhlongo's move was initially confirmed by the Port Elizabeth-based club over the weekend.
The reports of the shot-stopper joining the club were later refuted by the player’s camp on social media. The Siya crew has now been informed that Mhlongo's move to the Chilli Boys for the 2017/18 season has been finalised.
Having signed Wayne Sandilands, after he parted ways with Mamelodi Sundowns, Pirates had five goalkeepers on their books going the pre-season.
With Mhlongo set to turn out in the colours of Chippa in the new season, the Buccaneers are now left with Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Emmanuel Daniel, to be added to Sandilands in their goalkeeping department.
In addition, Pirates’ first confirmed signing of this transfer window was that of Thamsanqa Sangweni, who joined the club from the Chilli Boys.
James Okwuosa and Mahlatse Makudubela's moves to Chippa are also expected to be concluded this week.
