An experienced Orlando Pirates defender has boosted his chances of a longer stay with the club.

Since returning to the Bucs’ line-ups, Jele has impressed with his performances, such as his solid defensive display against Maritzburg United last weekend, as well as the goal he scored during the 2-0 win for Bucs.
The 31-year-old has increased his chances of cementing his place in Coach Milutin Sredojevic’s team, as well as the chance of an extended stay with the club.

The Buccaneers have been yet to confirm the extension of the player’s stay, which comes to an end in June. Thus far, the club has confirmed extending the deals for Luvuyo Memela, Mpho Makola and Gift Motupa.
Jele’s agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane has repeatedly indicated that the player is unlikely to leave Pirates, the club he has been with for over 10 years.

Jele is expected to play an important role for Bucs in their aspirations of winning a cup when they get their Nedbank Cup campaign underway against Ajax Cape Town this weekend.
