An Orlando Pirates defender has attracted interest from the Democratic Republic of Congo giants, TP Mazembe, who are believed to be keen on adding him to their roster at some point in the future.
As reported in the latest edition of Soccer Laduma, issue number 1084, Justice Chabalala appears to have earned himself new suitors in Mazembe.
The Congolese side is said to have been impressed with what they saw in the centre-back during their pre-season friendly match against the Buccaneers in Zambia last month.
The news of Mazembe's interest in the former Free State Stars player has been confirmed to the Siya crew by a source close to Bucs, who added that the Congolese club is keen on making an offer for the 26-year-old who struggled for game-time under Coach Milutin Sredojevic last season.
“TP Mazembe is interested in Justice Chabalala. The club was impressed with what they saw from the player in their friendly match against Pirates in Zambia. The fact that he is naturally a strong boy and a good tackler impressed TP Mazembe as that is their style of play,” said the source.
Chabalala's contract with Pirates is set to expire in June of 2019, while the Giyani-born player has been linked to the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns in the past.
