News emanating from the Orlando Pirates camp is that the Soweto giants have concluded their technical report which will determine the players that will be brought in ahead of the new season.
Siya sources have revealed to the crew that the Buccaneers already have the list of players, or at least the positions that need immediate attention. Soccer Laduma recently reported that the Buccaneers had their sights set on Chippa United wingback, Paseka Mako as a primary target for the upcoming season. However, the opted to reserve comments relating to the defender.
Furthermore, the crew earlier reported that the club would be targeting additional strikers to add to their roster in preparation for the CAF Champions League.
The Bucs technical team led by Milutin Sredojević is also expected to finalise the players that are deemed surplus to requirements.
“The club is now looking forward to making the right signings and ensuring that the right players join the club to help fulfil the ambitions at Pirates,” said the club.
Another high profile name that has been added in the mix is that of former Bucs midfielder and current Bafana Bafana international, Andile Jali who is currently in the country after parting ways with Belgian outfit KV Oostende. Though no official word has come from the club confirming their interest in the 28-year-old, reliable sources have indicated that Pirates are among the sides said to be interested in the midfielder should he decide to return to the Absa Premiership.
Meanwhile, the Soweto giants’ technical report will also decide the futures of several senior players who have been linked with exits from the club.
