Bucs’ North West Camp In Progress
Orlando Pirates Advance Their Preparations For New Season
The training camp for Orlando Pirates in Rustenburg is expected to continue for the rest of the week, as newly appointed coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic will familiarise himself with his players and staff at the Soweto giants.
As reported by the Siya crew, Pirates played and won their first friendly match under Sredojevic, which was against Platinum Stars on the weekend.
According to an insider in Bucs’ camp, the mood in the team is high as the former Uganda national team coach is getting his charges ready for the new campaign.
“Orlando Pirates are still in camp in Rustenburg. That’s where the team is training and playing friendly matches under their new coach, Milutin Sredojevic. They are expected to be there for the rest of the week,” said the source.
Unlike PSL rivals such as Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits, Bucs’ 2017/18 season will not get underway this weekend but next week with their league match against Chippa United, after they finished outside the top eight last season.
