Sundowns Winger Being Eyed By Another Interested Suitor
One Of Mamelodi Sundowns' Wingers Is Being Eyed By Their Neighbours
After revealing that Kaizer Chiefs have reignited their interest in one of Mamelodi Sundowns’ wingers, the Siya crew has learnt that there is another PSL club keen on his services.
With fixtures coming in thick and fast for Sundowns, as they continue their challenge for the league title, the Nedbank Cup trophy and prepare for take off in the CAF Champions League competition, Head Coach Pitso Mosimane will want to maintain the depth in his squad, however, as things stand, several players are already linked with an exit.
As reported last week by the crew, Amakhosi are believed to be sniffing around Liberian, Anthony Laffor, however, may have some competition on their hands, should they look to approach Sundowns for the player’s services.
According to sources, SuperSport United are also looking at potentially adding their former player, Laffor to their books in the upcoming July/August transfer window.
The 33-year-old has seen very little game-time this season, with his campaign being hampered by injuries and with age not on his side, it might be difficult for him to secure a place in Head Coach Mosimane’s starting line-up, also due to all the Brazilians’ new additions to the squad.
Indications are that a move away from the Chloorkop-based club could be on the cards for the player, although Laffor will not be the only one who will be heading out.
Khama Billiat is strongly linked with an exit as his contract nears its end on June 30, while out of favour Asavela Mbekile and Thabo Nthethe are also set to part ways with Sundowns when their deals expire on the same date.
