Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to confirm the signing of their new recruit, although the player is expected to join up with the squad this month.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Sundowns will report for pre-season duty on June 24, as they look to gear up for the CAF Champions League clash against AS Togo Port next month, on July 17.
Sundowns have already completed the signing of Guinean-Bissau winger, Toni Silva. However, the club is yet to confirm the move, despite the fact that the player confirmed the news last month.
Indications are that the Brazilians are waiting to officially register the 24-year-old before making an official announcement, though will need to first free up a place on their foreign quota.
In the meantime, the Siya crew has been informed that Silva could start training before the team reports for pre-season duty, as he looks to get his fitness levels up ahead of the Brazilians’ CAF Champions League clash.
Sources have added that Silva is expected to report for training around next week, where he is expected to be assessed by the club’s fitness team.
