Transfer Update: Sundowns Keeper To Make Way For Silva?

One Of Mamelodi Sundowns Goalkeepers Are Being Linked With An Exit

By Soccer Laduma - Apr 30, 2018 02:07 PM

One of Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeepers could be making way for the incoming Toni Silva.

The Siya crew revealed last week that Sundowns had agreed terms with Guinea-Bissau winger, Toni Silva, although the club is yet to confirm whether they’ve managed to secure the player’s signature.

It was also added that should Sundowns want to register the 24-year-old, they will need to release one of their foreigners as their five spaces are all currently filled. Jeremy Brockie, Razak, Bangaly Soumahoro, Ricardo Nascimento and Gaston Sirino are all currently registered as the club’s five foreigners for the 2017/18 campaign.

Siya sources have since revealed that Ghanaian Brimah Razak could be the player making way for Silva, with the goalkeeper being linked with an exit from the Chloorkop-based club.

However, Sundowns will have to wait until the upcoming July/August transfer window in order to make Silva’s signing official, while also confirming whether or not Razak will continue on their books for the new season.

Sundowns clinched their eighth Absa Premiership title on the weekend, with Razak making just four appearances for the Brazilians in the league campaign this season.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Sundowns will look to sell the player or whether a loan move elsewhere is on the cards for the goalkeeper.

If it were up to me i would release MWENEE instead of BRIMAH because he hasn't been given a fair chance to be jugded we already know what Mwenee can do and also promoting one of our own young keepers would be ideal for the future of the club and the country as well.

@fisto vs zebraditor: releasing Mweene instead of Razaak will not open up any foreign spot. Mweene, Billiat , Onyango , Laffour , Malajila have applied and received SA citizenship.

Razak is very good i think game time is killing him. He reminds me Ronnie Nkanelelo. If he signs for another Psl team i bet that team will benefit a lot.
