News reaching the Siya crew says Keyona Team captain Nkanyiso Nene is impressing at Kaizer Chiefs training grounds of Naturena.
The 22-year-old centre-back who started training with the Glamour Boys last week as part of the Nedbank Keyona campaign has received his clearance from his former club and is now in line to be part of the Amakhosi Multichoice Diski Challenge side who will play Free State Stars Reserves at Sugar Ray Xulu on Sunday.
According to a source within the club, it's was MDC coach Arthur Zwane who recommended that the player is signed.
"They are very happy about the boy," a source told the Siya crew.
"It is Arthur Zwane who is very much happy about the boy. He trains with both the senior team and the MDC team, in the morning with the first team and in the afternoons with the MDC team. Arthur wants the boy to play in the MDC on the weekend.
"He told him to get his clearance from Dynamos (KZN ABC Motsepe league), but it is here now, it was emailed. It's not yet clear if he will play in the Macufe Cup this weekend or what because the senior team coach is also impressed but Arthur Zwane really wants him to play in the MDC, but it will be decided during the course of the week."
