A defender is close to joining up with Mamelodi Sundowns, while their other trialist continues to train with the first team.
As reported in the past weeks, a decision about Nkanyiso Nene, the captain of the Nedbank Ke Yona team, was set to be made, with the player currently on trial with Sundowns after he left stopped training with Kaizer Chiefs.

According to Siya sources, all has been agreed on between the parties involved and Nene will soon be putting pen to paper on a contract with Masandawana in the coming days.
As previously revealed, the 22-year-old will be turning out for the club’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge side, although, will be given a chance to impress Head Coach Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.
In addition, Karabo Mookamedia who is also from the Nedbank Ke Yona team, is also still currently training with the Sundowns first team, with indications that the club will make a decision about the player in the coming weeks.
Masandawana will return to action next week, November 27, when they travel away to face Leones Vegetarianos in Malabo for the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
