Ex-Masandawana Man Leaves Naturena
Mzikayise Mashaba Is Not Training With Kaizer Chiefs At The Moment
Former Mamelodi Sundowns man, Muzi Mashaba, has stopped training with Kaizer Chiefs this week, with the club seemingly deciding against offering him a deal at Naturena.
The 29-year-old full back started training with the Glamour Boys recently as he looked to land himself a deal with the club going into the new season, doing so as a free agent following his exit from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now though, with Giovanni Solinas putting in the final preparations ahead of this weekend’s clash with Masandawana, the Siya crew have been informed that Mashaba is no longer training with the club.
Chiefs are known to be on the lookout for a new left back having missed out on the signing of Mosa Lebusa and are believed to have targeted Cape Town City’s Edmilson Dove as a possible option as a replacement for the released Tsepo Masilela.
Now, with just under four weeks until the closure of the South African transfer window, it looks as though Chiefs are all but finished in the transfer market, however they are still awaiting the arrival of Andriamirado Andrianarimanana.
It remains to be seen whether Mashaba has stopped training with Chiefs just for the time being or whether they have opted against signing him, and the crew will keep tabs on the situation at Naturena to see if any fresh faces arrive.
