Lebusa To Sundowns Still On As Deal Restructured

Mosa Lebusa's Move To Mamelodi Sundowns Is Still On

By Soccer Laduma - Jul 25, 2018 01:10 PM
Mosa Lebusa’s move to Mamelodi Sundowns is still on the cards, with the deal being restructured after the complications of this week.

The Siya crew reported yesterday that Lebusa’s transfer from Ajax Cape Town could be in the balance after Brandon Petersen – a player also involved in the transfer – decided that he won’t sign for Sundowns if Reyaad Pieterse joins.

Now though, word reaching the crew is that the defender’s move is possibly imminent, with just the final details of the deal set to be ironed out before becoming a Masandawana player.

Two Sundowns youngsters, Keletso Makgalwa and Khayelihle Shozi, have already started training with the Urban Warriors and are believed to have been involved in the package deal, although it remains to be seen whether they will now be a part of the Petersen or Lebusa aspect of the move.

Lebusa is hot property at present, having been one of the shining stars for Ajax in 2017/18, with all of South Africa’s ‘Big Three’ – Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates – known to have been looking to sign him.

The Brazilians, it seems, have won the race though, and there are indications that if all goes well his transfer could be tied up before the end of the week.

@8XPSL Champions Member you have just enlightened me on that point. I do remember Pitso saying that, I just don't like this thing of signing unsuitable or many players. For example we did not use Reece Evans and he is now given clearance. If Pitso will convert lebusa to a CB, then I will understand.

Statistics are like bikini, they don't reveal everything. But Lebusa v Langerman (2014 - 2018). Lebusa - 17 yellow cards...Langerman - 11 yellow cards. Do your own maths, but my analysis says Lebusa is not such a great player defensively.

@Juno Dawana sir Pitso said he need a left footed centreback, there's is no way we can sign a player without a reason, people were praising Lakay playing as a left back against Chiefs but they were complaining when he was signed saying we have Ngoma and Lebese on the left wing, Pitso knows what he is doing. #KBY!!!

Cowditor, AS Togo has landed in Mzantsi, in an interview with the Coach at OR Tambo, he mentioned the expropriation of Dunusas land without compensation. Will your reporter go ask him what this guy meant?
