Chiefs Up The Ante For Masilela Replacement As Exit Beckons

With Tsepo Masilela’s exit from Kaizer Chiefs believed to be imminent, the Siya crew have been informed that the club are upping the ante for his long-term successor.
Masilela’s contract with the Glamour Boys will expire at the end of the current season, and as things stand there is no deal in place that will see him remain an employee at Naturena beyond the end of this month.
The crew has previously reported that Ajax Cape Town’s Mosa Lebusa is hot property in South African football, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates having opened talks with Ajax Cape Town regarding a possible move.
Chiefs, however, are looking to push the deal over the line as they look to make sure they replace Masilela – a player who has achieved much success with the Amakhosi – as soon as possible with a tried and test left back.
Like Sundowns and Pirates, Chiefs are also in talks with Ajax as they attempt to tempt them into letting him leave, although they may hold out on a decision until it is clear which league they will be playing in next season.
