Xola Mlambo has found a new home following his Orlando Pirates exit earlier this month, the Siya crew can reveal.
The midfielder, who had attracted interest from Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Baroka FC and TS Galaxy will be added to AmaZulu’s long list of new additions.
It was first reported by the Siya crew on October 6 that Mlambo had stopped training with Pirates and that his departure was imminent.
The club confirmed later on the day that the former Bidvest Wits star would be leaving after a mutual termination of his contract.
He becomes the third player from Pirates to join AmaZulu, who unveiled Luvuyo Memela and Augustine Mulenga recently.
Mlambo struggled for game-time under Josef Zinnbauer last season and his future had been a point of discussion for some time now.
He still had a year remaining on his Pirates deal, but having only managed eight games all of last season it was evident that he would need a fresh start.
The Siya crew understands AmaZulu will confirm his arrival on a four-year deal.
