Zamalek Could Pip Pirates To New Coach
Milutin 'Micho' Sredojević May Not Be Joining Orlando Pirates After All
Orlando Pirates may be set to lose out on Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević with Zamalek putting forward a big money offer to the 47-year-old.
The Buccaneers had been closing in on the Serbian’s signature as they look to bring in a new man at the helm ahead of the 2017/18 season, with reports suggesting that a deal may have already been agreed in principle.
It was reported by the Siya crew that, despite talks, nothing had been finalised, and it now appears that they could face a battle on their hands in order to get him to South Africa.
According to Siya sources, the Egyptian giants are eager to bring Micho in after they fired their head coach, Augusto Inácio, this week, and their offer could be enough to tempt the Serbian into a move to the North of Africa rather than the South.
It is thought that Micho will make a decision on his future in the next 48 hours, and while his exit from the Ugandan national team is almost certain at this stage, his next destination is not.
Pirates’ head coach, Kjell Jonevret is currently preparing his team for the Carling Black Label Cup this weekend and refused to comment on his future earlier this week.
