Ex-Udinese Man To Sign For Wits?
The ex-Udinese striker, Mathias Ranégie, has been spotted training with Bidvest Wits as Gavin Hunt considers making a move for the veteran striker.
Ranégie, a former Sweden international, was most recently playing for Syrianska in his home country, but it appears that he is keen on making a switch to South Africa should he manage to impress Hunt and his technical team.
According to Siya sources, the 34-year-old forward has started training with the Clever Boys as the club continues their preparations for the 2018/19 season ahead, and they are known to be on the lookout for a new striker following the exit of both James Keene and Eleazar Rodgers.
The Siya crew recently reported that the club also has Marcus Haber training with them ahead of a possible move for the Canadian striker, and it remains to be seen if either of them will be able to secure a deal at the club.
During his time with BK Häcken in Sweden, Ranégie contributed to 50 goals – 41 goals and nine assists - in 101 games, and has Europa League experience having played in the tournament with both Udinese and Malmo FF.
