Zongo Rejoins Former Team
Masibusane Zongo Has Rejoined His Former Team
As predicted by the Siya crew, Masibusane Zongo has returned to Royal Eagles with a view to revive his career.
Following the player’s release from police custody in November, the Siya crew revealed that Eagles were interested in having a look at the dribbling star, with the aim to give him another chance to get his career back on track.
It has now been confirmed by sources close to KwaZulu-Natal’s National First Division outfit that the player has rejoined the team.
“Masibusane Zongo is back with Royal Eagles. The boy is like a son to Eagles coach, Kosta Papic. They understand each other,” said the source.
Zongo played for Eagles before his arrest. Now at 27, the midfielder is keen on reviving his career that has failed to live up to expectations at a host of PSL clubs he has been at, including SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits, Chippa United and Platinum Stars.
Before securing a move to Eagles, Zongo spent time training with the likes of former Kaizer Chiefs youngster Andisiwe Mtsila, as well as other clubless players in Cape Town.
