Having recently parted ways with coach Sebastien Migné, it is believed Marumo Gallants have made a decision on the club's coaching department.
Gallants dismissed Migne after revealing in a statement that the coach was charged for insubordination and using abusive language towards technical director, Harris Choeu.
The Siya crew reported that GladAfrica Championship side Free State Stars rejected advances from Marumo Gallants to poach Duncan Lechesa as a potential replacement for Migné. The club, as reported, held talks with Dan Malesela. Owen da Gama was another candidate for the job, but nothing materialised.
After their 2-1 victory over DRC side AS Vita in the CAF Confederation Cup, the Siya crew has been informed that Gallants are considering giving Mpho Maleka more time in the hotseat, with Raymond Mdaka – a SAFA instructor, coming in as well to assist him. A decision on how long they are in charge of the team will be based on the team's results in the coming weeks, as they look to climb the DStv Premiership standings.
Maleka is no stranger to taking charge of the team. Last season, after the club sacked Joel Masutha, Maleka was interim coach with David Mathebula, before Dylan Kerr was roped in.
Gallants have just two points recorded in their first five matches of the campaign.
