News reaching the Siya crew is that Marumo Gallants look set to part ways with one of the club's goalkeepers.
Brighton Mhlongo has faced challenges with the Limpopo outfit due to unpaid monies and according to sources, the case has reached the Premier Soccer League Dispute Resolution Chamber.
The former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper is yet to make an appearance for the club this season and still has one year left on his deal, with a medical report on his eye injury adding to the growing uncertainty about Mhlongo's future.
Insiders close the club have indicated that the player's contract may be terminated after his suspension last week.
Siya sources have also informed the Siya crew that a potential termination of the contract of the 30-year-old could ease the financial pressure looming at Gallants.
The club did not want to be drawn into discussions on the future of the goalkeeper, but confirmed that there has been an outcome on the player's medical report.
"I would not comment on something I'm not aware of. Remember, there's two ways, it's either you are here or not, so if he is not released, what does it mean?" Gallants spokesperson, Rufus Matsena told the Siya crew.
"We have the medical report from the specialist, but it is confidential. It is personal, the person who can answer that question, is Brighton himself."
With the case pending at the DRC, Matsena avoided saying to much, with the case still under judgement.
"Look, if there's a DRC issue, it is something we cannot comment on in the media, because the matter is sub judice," he added.
It remains to be seen whether Mhlongo will feature for the club this season. The Siya crew will stay abreast on the latest developments.
