Siya sources have indicated that Maritzburg United are set to release up to four players from their books.
Eric Tinkler took over the helm of the Team Of Choice last month, with the head coach expected to take the team out of the danger zone.
With the head coach having taken over in the final days of the transfer window, Tinkler managed to make just one signing in Allan Kateregga, adding to Mpho Matsi, Thabiso Kutumela, Miguel Timm and Judas Moseamedi who joined while Muhsin Ertugral was still at the club.
However, according to Siya sources, Tinkler is believed to have already made some changes outside of the transfer window.
The source revealed that Maritzburg are looking to release up to four players from their books, with indications that the club is negotiating the exits of Andrea Fileccia, Keletso Makgalwa and Thato Thlone.
Yazid Atouba has already left the club, with his exit having been finalised in January already. Although, indications are that there are more players that could be leaving in the coming days.
However, indications are that their exits are yet to be finalised, as the parties involved may need to come to an agreement regarding the months left on their current contracts at the club.
Although, sources have revealed that these four players are not in Tinkler’s plans for the rest of the season and it remains to be seen whether the club will be able to come to an agreement and announce their departures.
