Maritzburg Opt To Have Winger Return To Chiefs
Maritzburg United Are Unlikely To Extend The Stay Of William Twala
Maritzburg United are unlikely to consider holding onto their on-loan Kaizer Chiefs player.
William Twala, who completed a loan move to Maritzburg during the January transfer window this year, will, in fact, return to Amakhosi at the end of the season with the Team of Choice believed to be unlikely to extend his stay at the KwaZulu-Natal-based club, this according to Siya sources.

Twala seemed to have found a place in the Maritzburg setup upon his arrival, however, has since fallen down the pecking order at the club, managing just five appearances under the mentorship of Head Coach Fadlu Davids.
Although there could be a possibility that his situation may change, the 28-year-old will, as expected, return to Chiefs at the end of the season, with the Soweto giants then expected to make a decision about the player’s immediate future.

With Twala also not in favour with Steve Komphela at Chiefs, should the head coach remain at the club next season, the winger could be transferred out in the July/August transfer window in order to get in the needed game-time.
However, it remains to be seen what will become of Twala’s situation in the coming months, although as things stand, it is unlikely that he will continue on the books of Maritzburg.
