Chiefs Seek Twala Loan: Maritzburg The Answer?

Maritzburg United Are Keen On Kaizer Chiefs' William Twala

By Soccer Laduma - Jan 24, 2018 05:26 PM

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to try and loan out their attacker, William Twala, before the transfer window closes given his fall down the pecking order at the club.

The 27-year-old hasn’t played for the Amakhosi since September, and the last time he even made the bench was in October, with other players taking preference in Steve Komphela’s plans for the season.

As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, Maritzburg United are one team interested in trying to bring the player in on a loan basis this month, as they look to continue their impressive form in the Absa Premiership.

The January transfer window will slam shut in one week’s time, on the 31st of January, which means that Maritzburg will need to act fast if they are to secure the player’s signature.

Maritzburg are currently fifth in the league table, but it appears that Fadlu Davids is still on the lookout for players that could improve his team even further.

Just sell him man n get that Rusike there's no point in loaning him, Twala has pace but his final decision was always poor so we won't miss him especially when Mahlasela comes back

I beg to differ with this statement of loaning such talent of this magnitude bcoz de boi is chiefs material and he is de one of de players who cums to de party and raise his hand giving fireworks to where is needed when he is super fit and given game time we cant loan he must be proven by playing lyk any other players who are given chances reportedly de only players I think need to be loaned out are KATSVAIRO AND CHIRAMBANDARE

Big mistake,he's a good player. We need more firepower for this league marathon and for Africa next season,if we can make it of course. Maybe the new technical advisor will allow him to stay.

Steve! I don't think that's a clever move considering that you still have chirambadare, Twala is good going forward

@Matome_Kay your argument is valid but I think that man isn't too old to be loaned out..... He might comeback when he is 28/29 as a better player. Remember if teams can buy players who are 29/30, so loaning out 27 yrz old isn't bad idea. Remember we are not loaning out to gain experience, but to get game time

What's the point of loaning out a 27-year-old exactly? I thought the two main reasons to loan a player was for that player to get experience and game-time so we could retain him to boost us... Twala is over the hill already and if he can't be played he must be sold. We should loan out players for our long-term benefit and Twala ain't no our future no more.
