Former EPL Striker Spotted At Wits
Marcus Haber Has Started Training With Bidvest Wits
Former West Bromwich Albion striker, Marcus Haber, has been spotted training with Bidvest Wits as they look to bolster their striking department ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old from Canada is currently contracted to Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, however, it appears that he’s considering making a move to South Africa’s PSL with the Clever Boys.
Haber, a Canadian international, has played in England, Scotland, America and his home nation over the course of his career, and has over 50 goals to his name across the four countries.
According to Siya sources, Haber started training with Gavin Hunt’ side on Friday morning as their preparations for the 2018/19 season continues, with the head coach looking to take a closer look at the former Crewe Alexandra frontman.
The striker joined West Brom in 2010 just before their promotion to the Premier League, although spent most of his time with the club out on loan.
The crew will monitor the situation in Braamfontein to see if Haber sets up a move to Sturrock Park or not. Wits are looking to replace the likes of James Keen and Eleazar Rodgers, who recently left the club.
